When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide.
There are a lot of numbers out there. Some say Tea Party applications for tax-exempt status averaged 27 months for approval, while applications from liberal groups averaged nine. In one extreme case, according to the Washington Post, the IRS granted the Barack H. Obama Foundation tax-exempt status in a speedy one-month timeframe. Yet some conservative groups waited up to three years, and some still haven’t received approval.

Just when we thought it was safe to turn the news on again, a new scandal is brewing in the Obama administration, this one involving the Environmental Protection Agency. It has every possibility of being as big as the IRS scandal, because just like that one, it centers on administration officials playing favorites.

At issue is the waiver of fees for Freedom of Information Act, commonly called FOIA, requests. FOIA fees are supposed to be summarily waived in all instances where the information will be released to the general public, such as the press and government watchdog groups.
The Competitive Enterprise Institute reviewed FOIA requests received by the EPA from January 2012 to the spring of 2013, according to The Washington Examiner and the results were startling.
“This is as clear an example of disparate treatment as the IRS’ hurdles selectively imposed upon groups with names ominously reflecting an interest in, say, a less intrusive or biased federal government,” said CEI fellow Chris Horner to the Examiner.
The Examiner’s Michal Conger reported:
For 92 percent of requests from green groups, the EPA cooperated by waiving fees for the information. Those requests came from the Natural Resources Defense Council, EarthJustice, Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, The Waterkeeper Alliance, Greenpeace, Southern Environmental Law Center and the Center for Biological Diversity.
Those “green” groups that were charged a fee either didn’t indicate that the information being requested would be disseminated to the public or failed to respond to the agency’s request to justify the fee waiver.
CEI received almost the exact opposite results — 93 percent of their requests for fee waivers to the EPA were denied. One, admittedly, because CEI failed to note that the information would be disseminated to the public. However, The Examiner reported:
The rest were denied because the agency said CEI “failed to demonstrate that the release of the information requested significantly increases the public understanding of government operations or activities.” Similarly, requests from conservative groups Judicial Watch and National Center for Public Policy Research were approved half the time, and all requests from Franklin Center and the Institute for Energy Research were denied.

The Democrats, Progressives and Liberals (which of course includes most of the media) are going to jump on the bandwagon at first against the tragedy of what the Obama's Administration is fostering upon America (much because they are now feeling the tyranny, too). But then they will switch gears and turn it around and throw it in the faces of Conservatives and Republicans! The bottom line, all of this is because the Republicans did something in the past, or didn't do something, or are thinking of doing something in the future, or because George W Bush was born.
What we are witnessing is the tremblings of an arrogant Federal Government that has lost the legitimacy, faith and confidence of the governed who work and pay the the taxes! What you will now witness is the rise of the Democrat 2nd World mentality to slash and burn the opposition of those who dare taint the image of their hero: Barack Hussein Obama. To them it is a skin issue: BLACK! To us it is a color issue: RED!
America is on the precipice of rage not seen since the Civil War and only fools will not walk softly, speak softly and govern wisely in Washington, Deceitful City in the coming days, weeks, months and years!!!!
Does the High and Arrogant truly understand the depth of our outrage, anger; our mistrust in them - the precipitous fall in confidence, legitimacy, faith and the rising rage across America AT OUR FEDERAL-Tyrannical- Government? - A tyrannical Democrat-Liberal Machine filled with the words from our President: "Take Revenge?" Well his followers in the Federal Government hear -- and THE DID! They followed their leaders call to action! We are their enemies and they make war for keeps using our very own government and military to do so.
Regarding the current tragedy before us called the Federal Government, the question isn't whether a few heads at the IRS rolls. What Obama and his thugs in power have done is made this pervasive across and into the very roots of our Government and our Military, who now threaten Christians; use use the examples of the Right as the nations enemy we are now fighting against - aka Christians, Conservatives and the Tea Party.
We have truly failed to understand the depths of their waged political war using our government behind closed doors against their political enemies - US! There is a war being waged on the Right! It helped keep Obama in power! That was their aim then and now it is to keep the Right out of power permanently! That will lead to true war for the nation will have been lost by the utilization of power in underhanded evil way - taking The Peoples Government by Theft and Tyranny!
It is time for voices across this nation to come together and tell their stories of what the DEMOCRATS IN POWER IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DID TO THEM! The stories that should outrage a nation and shame it to its core! Attacks on Christians, Conservatives and those who want limited Government and manageable debt!
It is time to to fight back! Get in peoples faces - our representatives, so called leaders, and all who are elected to office. Waste not an iota of time with Liberals, Progressives and Democrats. They have shown themselves to be exactly what they are: A waring enemy upon us!
The message is direct and furious! YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
We are putting a stop to this demon tormenting our nation - that has tormented mankind throughout history - this rise of the arrogant-tyrannical-governmental from hell! This Belrog, this face of the demon from the depths of what has brought hell to people on earth - a tyrannical government!
Our words must bear fruit and give birth to a resistance to tyranny that must rise up in the people if we are to survive as a Republic. Otherwise, this nation is already lost! NOT ON OUR WATCH! Hell No! "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee’s oversight subcommittee, said the report “raises serious questions as to who at IRS, Treasury and in the administration knew about this, why this practice was allowed to continue for as long as it did, and how widespread it was.”
“This timeline reveals at least two extremely unethical actions by the IRS. One, as early as 2010, they targeted groups for political purposes. Two, they willfully and knowingly lied to Congress for years despite being aware that Congress was investigating this practice,” Boustany said.
“This is an outrageous abuse of power. Going after organizations for referencing the Bill of Rights or expressing the intent to make this country a better place is repugnant,” Boustany added. “There is no excuse for this behavior.”
Several congressional committees have promised investigations, including the Ways and Means Committee, which plans to hold a hearing.
